Old Hollywood Wedding Theme

We blogged about Breakfast at Tiffany's as a wedding theme and now it seems we can't get enough of the elegance and glamour Old Hollywood has to offer!

You can get many Old Hollywood inspirations from the movies with stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis and Grace Kelly. You can also get inspirations from a type of movie, a movie actress, etc., if you have a certain favorite. Black and white colors can also suit your theme for a classic look yet avoid boredom or plainness by punching in bold colors. Use red for some of your accessories like flowers and on your lips and nails for a sophisticated, sexy look. For your headpiece, wear a birdcage veil and let your hair go wavy or in a loose bun. Walk down the aisle on a red carpet and have red carpet rolled outside the wedding venue so you and your guests can feel the exciting experience of Hollywood. And you're the glamorous star!

We are highlighting some of our products below that best embodies the Old Hollywood glamour:

Lights, Camera, action! Clapboard accessories such as these place card holder and place card frame will let your guests feel like red carpet dignitaries when they see their names on these. You can also put your best picture a la Old Hollywood movie still in the frame.

The Paparazzi are everywhere! Distribute cameras at the wedding to let guests take photos of themselves and everyone during the festivities. You'll be surprised at the photos they can capture that your official photographer can not! And just like Hollywood stars, let your guests sign your Instant photo album with their Polaroid shots inserted on the pages. Not only you, the bride and groom, will feel like movie stars; your guests would feel special, too!

Oh, the glitz and glamour! Let yourself and the bridal party wear sparkly jewelry and bring out the diva in you.

Whether or not it's in the budget to gracefully exit from your "paparazzi" friends and guests via a limousine or a classic convertible car, you can very well afford to get this Honeymoon Bound Couple in Car Wedding Cake Topper. Instead of using all flowers in your wedding reception, you can use feathers, too.

Have a sparkling toast to each other as newly pronounced husband and wife to your guests with barware accessories to celebrate your wedding.

And of course, don't forget the dashing leading man (the groom). Dress him up with a black bow tie and distinguished black suit or tuxedo. Make him look extra stunning with accessories to make him look or feel like a movie superstar.
